THE DUCKS AND THE DEVILS
When Oregon and Arizona State met earlier this season, the Sun Devils claimed a 6-1 victory on their home courts.
ASU started hot, jumping out to an early 1-0 lead over the Ducks after winning doubles on courts one and two.
In singles play, the Devils kept their momentum going, recording two straight-set wins on courts one and six to extend their lead to 3-0.
Allison Mulville interrupted Arizona State's run with a dominant 7-6, 6-1 performance on court five. Mulville's win in Tempe, Ariz., marked the first Pac-12 win of her career, and eighth win of the dual season.
However, after Mulville put the Ducks on the board, Arizona State would go on to win on the remaining three courts, securing the victory.
LAST TIME IN OJAI
The Ducks entered last year's Pac-12 Tournament as the No. 7 seed and faced Utah in the first round.
After falling behind early in doubles, Oregon rallied to win on courts two and three, taking a 1-0 lead into singles.
UO continued to roll in singles play, picking up first set wins on all six courts. Current Ducks Paiton Wagner, Daniela Nasser and Julia Eshet all claimed straight-set victories to pull off a 4-0 sweep over the Utes and advance to the quarterfinals against UCLA.
Against UCLA, the Ducks were relentless, tying things up at 3-3 after climbing back from an early 2-0 deficit.
After dropping the doubles point and falling at the top spot in singles, Oregon rattled off a couple of quick wins on courts two and three to knot the score at 2-2. UCLA answered right back with a victory at the No. 6 spot, reclaiming its lead, 3-2.
Nasser kept the Ducks' hopes alive with a 7-5, 6-2 victory on court four, but UCLA went on to win a three-set thriller at the No. 5 spot to secure the victory and move onto the semifinals.
RECORD SETTING SENIOR
Daniela Nasser recorded her 63rd career win with a straight-set victory over Ilze Hattingh of Arizona State on April 14. With 63 wins, Nasser moves into eighth on UO's career wins list, tying Shweta Sangwan (2015-19).
