Ducks Outmatched by No. 9 UCLA

The Oregon women's tennis team fell to ninth-ranked UCLA, 5-1, on Sunday.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women's tennis team fell to No. 9 UCLA, 6-1, on Sunday at the outdoor courts of the Student Tennis Center.
How It Happened: A short-handed lineup forced Oregon (6-11, 0-6) to forfeit No. 3 doubles against UCLA (10-3, 3-0), giving the Bruins an early advantage to begin the match. UCLA capitalized, securing a victory on court one to gain an early 1-0 edge.
In singles, UCLA quickly clinched the match after rattling off wins on courts two and three as well as picking up a point on court six due to a UO forfeit.
Julia Eshet broke up the Bruins' scoring by claiming a point for Oregon on court four as UCLA retired Alaina Miller midway through the second set.
In the final match to finish, Daniela Nasser was battling with No. 56 Jada Hart. Nasser pushed the match to a third-set tiebreak after dominating in the second set, but the senior ultimately fell, 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (9).
