Ducks Set to Host USC, UCLA

The Oregon women's tennis team returns home to host No. 13 USC on March 23 (12 p.m. PT) and No. 9 UCLA on March 24 (11 a.m. PT).
Eugene, Ore. – The Ducks return home where they will host two more ranked Pac-12 squads – No. 13 USC on March 23 (12 p.m. PT) and No. 9 UCLA on March 24 (11 a.m. PT).
USC enters the contest against the Ducks on a seven-match winning streak, which includes a 4-1 victory over No. 9 UCLA. The Trojans' only two losses this season have come to 19th-ranked California and SMU.
Despite having three losses on the season, UCLA has recorded some notable wins to earn its top-10 ranking. The Bruins have defeated three top-20 teams –No. 8 Oklahoma State, No. 6 South Carolina and No. 19 California – with their only losses coming against top-ranked North Carolina, No. 7 Pepperdine and No. 13 USC.

LAST TIME OUT
The Ducks struggled in the Evergreen State, falling to Washington, 7-0, on March 15 and Washington State, 4-1, on March 17.
Oregon started off well against Washington, winning the first doubles match of the afternoon behind a dominant 6-2 performance from Paiton Wagner and Daniela Nasser. But despite an early lead, Oregon fell on courts one and three to give Washington a 1-0 edge heading into singles play.
In singles, Washington carried its momentum over, winning on all six courts to complete the sweep.
Sunday's match began with Oregon surrendering the doubles point to Washington State after the Cougs claimed wins on courts two and three. On court one, Shweta Sangwan and Rifanty Kahfiani were leading No. 71 Hikaru Sato and Tiffany Mylonas, 5-2, before their match went unfinished.
Washington State continued to build on its early lead as the match transitioned into singles, securing a straight-set win on court two to take a 2-0 lead over Oregon.
Wagner put the Ducks on the board, winning her ninth match of the dual season in a three-set thriller, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4, on court four.
From there, WSU would rattle off two more wins on courts one and three to clinch the victory on its home courts.
RECORD SETTING SENIORS
After recording a singles win against California, Shweta Sangwan has 63 career wins, claiming sole possession of eighth on UO's all-time career win's list.
Fellow senior Daniela Nasser is right on Sangwan's heels with 62 career wins, good for ninth on the list, passing Kumi Nagamoto (1987-90).
Head coach Courtney Nagle currently sits at seventh among UO career win leaders with 65 wins.
IN THE RANKINGS
In doubles, Rifanty Kahfiani and Allison Mulville cracked their way into the rankings and now sit at No. 66 after a dominate 6-3 win over 20th-ranked Emily Arbuthnott and Michaela Gordon of Stanford.
