UO Posts Back-to-Back Road Wins

STANFORD, Calif. -- Four Ducks scored in double figures led by senior forward Joevan Catron's 15 points in a 67-59 road win over Stanford on Thursday night. It was UO's first victory at Maples Pavilion since the 1985-86 season, snapping a 24-game road losing streak to the Cardinal.
Oregon improved its record to 10-10 overall and 3-5 in Pac-Conference play. Stanford dropped to 10-9 on the season and 3-5 in league action.
Catron, who shot 5-of-10 from the field, also grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Senior guard Jay-R Strowbridge added 13 points off the bench, hitting 3-of-5 from behind the 3-point arc.
Junior guards Malcolm Armstead and Garrett Sim each tallied 10 points.
Oregon shot 42.9 percent from the field (23-of-53), including a season-high 52.9 percent on 3-pointers (9-of-17). Stanford was limited to 41.7 percent shooting (20-of-48) and 31.6 percent from behind the 3-point arc (6-of-19).
The Ducks return to action Saturday at 3 p.m. (PT) with a game at California.

- UO finished the first half hitting 42.9 percent of its field goals (12-of-28), including a season-high for first-half 3-point field goal percentage 55.6 percent (5-of-9).
- Stanford closed the first half by out-scoring Oregon 17-10 over the final 10 minutes.
