BAY AREA TRADITIONALLY TOUGH FOR DUCKS
The Stanford-California road trip has been a difficult one for the Ducks, with their last sweep of the Bay Area schools coming during the 1975-76 season. That team was led by head coach Dick Harter and featured the likes of Ron Lee and Greg Ballard. In that road sweep, the Ducks posted a 75-64 win over Cal (Feb. 13) and an 84-62 win at Stanford (Feb. 14).
Oregon's last road win over Stanford (no sweep) was back on Jan. 13, 1986, an 83-69 result. Since then Stanford has rolled off 24 consecutive home wins over UO.
The Ducks' last road win over California was in 2007-08, the only Duck victory in their last 10 contests played at Haas Pavilion. Oregon lost a pair of overtime games to Cal in that stretch, an 85-81 overtime loss on Feb. 26, 2004, and a 107-103 double-overtime loss on Feb. 9, 2002.
UPCOMING GAMES FOR THE DUCKS
Following the games at Stanford and Cal, UO will play five of its next seven contests at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene. The Ducks will host Washington State (Feb. 3) and Washington (Feb. 5), before returning to the road for games at UCLA (Feb. 10) and USC (Feb. 12). UO then hosts three straight against Oregon State (Feb. 19), Cal (Feb. 24) and Stanford (Feb. 26).
OREGON'S PAC-10 STATISTICAL RANKINGS
UO compares favorably with their Pac-10 foes in several statistical categories, ranking second in free throw shooting (.724, 254-of-351), steals (8.3 spg, 158), offensive rebounds (12.2, 231) and turnover margin (+3.5, 242-309) while ranking fifth in blocks (3.2, 61).
Senior forward Joevan Catron is sixth in scoring (15.4 ppg, 262) and offensive rebounds (2.9 orpg, 49). Sophomore forward E.J. Singler is fifth in free throw percentage (.817, 58-of-71) and tied for ninth in blocks (1.0 bpg, 19). Junior guard Teondre Williams is second in 3-point field goal percentage (.447, 17-of-38). Junior guard Malcolm Armstead is third in steals (2.0 spg, 36) and seventh in assists (3.4 apg, 62).
OFFSEASON ADDITIONS PROVIDING A SPARK FOR UO
Senior guard Jay-R Strowbridge, junior forward Tyrone Nared and freshman guard Johnathan Loyd have made an impact on the 2010-11 Oregon lineup.
Strowbridge has played in all 19 games, a starter in seven contests. He is UO's third leading scorer (8.2 ppg) while shooting 74.2 percent on free throws (23-of-31). He's coming off a 15-point effort in the road win over OSU, scoring 13 of those points in the second half.
Nared has also played in all 19 contests, averaging 4.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game on the year. Nared ranks second on the team in blocked shots (13, 0.7 bpg), and is fourth on the squad in rebounding average. In UO's last three games, Nared has upped his averages to 7.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg. He made his first career start as a Duck in last week's game at OSU.
Loyd has played in all 19 games, starting the last seven contests. He has 45 assists (to just 25 turnovers), leading the team in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.8). Loyd's 19 steals (1.0 spg) ranks tied for second on the team. He's also shooting 73.1 percent on free throws (19-of-26).
CATRON AVERAGING CAREER BESTS
Senior forward Joevan Catron has now played in 112 career games averaging career-bests for points (15.4 ppg) and field goal shooting percentage (.521, 87-167). He leads the team in scoring, rebounding (6.4 rpg) shooting percentage, field goals attempted and field goals made, while ranking second in minutes played (25.8 mpg). Catron has scored in double-figures in 15 of the 17 games which he's played in. Five of his six career 20-point games have occurred this season. Singler has reached double figures in scoring 13 times in 18 games. In the near upset of No. 9 Missouri, Singler tallied a career-best 19 points to go with nine rebounds. On Dec. 11, Singler posted an 18-point, 17-rebound (career high) effort in the win over Willamette.

Junior guard Garrett Sim (season-high 15 points) reached double figures in scoring for the third time in the last five games. The last time Oregon won in Corvallis was back on March 2, 2008.
