BEFORE OREGON
Purashaj was the 2023 AVCA Two-Year College National Player of the Year at Florida SouthWestern State and helped lead the Buccaneers to back-to-back NJCAA Division I titles. She broke the FSW single-season record with 1,035 assists in 2023 and finished third nationally with 11.01 assists per set. Purashaj guided the Bucs’ offense to a .316 hitting percentage and 13.87 kills per set, both NJCAA-best marks. She dished out 40 or more assists 14 times during her FSW career including a program-best 60 assists as a freshman setter. The Milan, Italy, native totaled 16 double-doubles over two seasons while averaging 2.32 digs per set. She was also a threat from the service line, collecting 72 aces including a career-high 48 in 2023. She contributed 54 total blocks this past season, as well. Purashaj directed FSW to a 58-2 record in two years and was recognized as the 2022 Suncoast Conference Freshman of the Year. She was a two-time NJCAA All-America selection with first-team honors as a sophomore. Purashaj was the NJCAA Tournament MVP after a standout run capped by 46 assists and seven digs in the championship match against No. 3 Miami Dade.
