Two-time Texas state champion … at the 2018 Texas UIL 5A State Championships, won the 800 meters and was the runner-up at 1,600 and 3,200 meters … won the state title in the 1,600 meters in 2017 as a freshman … finished sixth or better at the Texas UIL 5A State Cross Country Championships four times including two runner-up performances in 2017 and 2019 … two top-15 finishes at the Foot Locker South Regional including an 11th-place showing in 2019 … had prep bests of 1:52.64 (800m), 4:16.40 (1600m) and 9:13.89 (3200m).
