Coach Arendsen says: "Nobody has worked harder than Anissa during the offseason. She has great respect from her teammates based on how disciplined and focused she is. She is probably the hardest working pitcher I have ever coached."
2003 -- As a junior, Meashintubby’s hard work, patience and positive attitude all paid off as she found her stride at the end of the season to carry the Ducks to a sweep of Washington in Seattle, picking up the 6-5 win in the second game of the series. It was her first career Pac-10 win and helped Oregon win the series vs. the Huskies for the first time since 1993. Meashintubby picked up her seventh career shutout in a 10-0 season-opening win vs. Texas A&M Corpus Christi and is now tied for seventh all-time at Oregon. Took over the reigns as the Ducks’ go-to pitcher in the postseason, going 2-0 with wins over Penn State and San Diego State en route to finishing second overall at the Fullerton NCAA regional with a 0.84 ERA while adding 16 strikeouts to bring her career total to 228 ? sixth all-time at Oregon. With eight wins on the season, including a victory over then-No. 5 California one week after the Washington win, Meashintubby now ranks 10th all-time at Oregon with 21 career victories. Had a season-best seven strikeouts on two occasions ? vs. Houston and Nevada ? and posted the lowest season ERA of her career (2.05).
2002 -- Continued to make great strides during her second season of extended play and finished the season as Oregon's leader in ERA (2.41) and strikeouts (93). Was 4-0 after her first four outings, including a 4-0 shut out over Kent State (7IP, 4hits, 0ER, 4K) and a 3-0 shut out over Arkansas (5.1IP, 0ER, 2BB, 5K). Ended the season with a team-high five shut outs and had 11 games with five or more strikeouts. Had a career-high eight strike outs vs. Portland State April 22 in perhaps her best outing of the season (7IP, 3 hits, OER 2BB, 8K). Had her best Pac-10 performance against Oregon State March 29, finishing the game with five strikeouts and two earned runs in six innings pitched. Possesses a great drop ball and an excellent change up. Her five shutouts in 2002 moved her career total to six, which is tied for eighth all-time at Oregon.
2001 -- Pitched in 19 games as a freshman and had 10 starts. Finished the season with a team-low 3.75 ERA. Went 4-3 overall, picking up wins versus Kansas, Houston, Riverside and San Jose State in the preseason. Also scored three runs for Oregon as a pinch runner. Was 2-0 after wins in her first two appearances and lost a close 2-1 decision in her third outing vs. San Jose State (6IP, 2ER, 6K). Came off the bench April 13, pitching five innings and allowing no runs in a 4-1 win over the Spartans.
