Lined a two-out double off wall vs. the Cardinal to score a run in a 5-4 eight-inning victory the final weekend of regular season. Helped Ducks win season series vs. rival Oregon State when she scored the game-winning run from second base and beat the throw to the plate in a 4-3 eight-inning win in April. Also walked to reach based three times vs. Washington in April. Averaged a walk one out of every 5 1/2 at-bats.
2006 ? As a sophomore, started 40 games behind the plate for the Ducks. She ended the season with a .988 fielding percentage and 219 putouts. After a hitless freshman season in limited at-bats, Morris got her first collegiate hit in the team’s second game against Florida. She hit in three of the first five games, capped by a double in a 3-1 win against Kansas. Morris scored Oregon’s first run after doubling in the fifth inning en route to a 4-2 comeback win against Oklahoma State on February 25. A week later, while she didn’t account for a hit, Morris walked and scored three times in a 15-8 Duck rout of Cal State Northrdige. The three runs in the game are tied for fifth most all-time. She recorded her only multi-hit game of the season at UCLA on April 22, where she hit her third double of the season. Morris finished the year with a .235 on-base percentage. She finished runner-up to Breanne Sabol with eight sacrifice bunts.
2005 ? Made appearances in 14 games, primarily as a pinch hitter and started one game behind the plate vs. Texas State Feb. 12. Did not record a hit in 12 at bats, but had 14 putouts and two assists. Most recent appearance was as a pinch hitter vs. Washington in the Ducks final game of the season. Played behind senior catcher Ashley Richards and backup T.J. Eadus, but with the departure of both following the 2005 season, Morris will likely see more playing time as a sophomore in 2006.
