Ducks Get 11 Seed, Face Yale In Regional Opener

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon is seeded 11th in the NCAA Tournament and will host a four-team regional starting on Friday at PK Park. The Ducks will face Yale in the first round with Oregon State and Washington State meeting in the first game of the Eugene Regional.

The Ducks (40-16) open the regional at 5 p.m. on Friday against Yale (30-13-1) on ESPN+. The Ducks' game follows the Oregon State (43-12) vs. Washington State (30-26) matchup which opens the Eugene Regional with a 12 p.m. start. Winners on Friday advance to play on Saturday at 6 p.m. while the two losers meet in the first game of the day at 1 p.m. Game times on Sunday are also at 1 p.m. for the loser-out game and 6 p.m. for the championship game. If an if-necessary game is needed, it will be played on Monday with a time to be determined after Sunday's action.

Oregon is 315-357-1 all-time against the field, including a 57-67 record in the modern era of Oregon baseball. Oregon State holds the series edge against UO with a 198-177 record against the Ducks and a 48-31 record in the modern era. Washington State leads the series 159-138-1 over Oregon, but the Ducks hold a 26-19 edge vs. the Cougars since 2009. Oregon and Yale will meet for the first time on Friday.

Oregon will be hosting an NCAA Regional for the fifth time in the last 15 years. The Ducks previously hosted regionals in 2012, 2013, 2021 and 2025. Oregon has also hosted a pair of Super Regionals (2012, 2023).

Oregon will be making its sixth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament, with all six coming during the Mark Wasikowski era. Since the return of baseball in 2009, the Ducks have been selected to participate in the NCAA Tournament 11 times, with the current six-year streak marking the most consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances in program history.Â
