
NFL #ProDucks: Wild Card Round

The Oregon football program was represented on 13 of the 14 teams as the NFL Playoffs got underway last week, with 27 total #ProDucks reaching the postseason.
Twenty-two of those 27 former Ducks and their teams competed in the Wild Card round, with seven advancing to the Divisional Round. Bo Nix, Troy Franklin, Alex Forsyth and Calvin Throckmorton (practice squad) earned a bye to open the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the AFC with the Denver Broncos, as did Shane Lemieux (practice squad) and the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC.
It was a defensive week in the Wild Card round for former Ducks like Deommodore Lenoir, who made eight tackles for the 49ers, and Jamal Hill, who made three tackles for the Texans.
San Francisco 49ers 23, Philadelphia Eagles 19
Making an impressive eight tackles, five of them on his own, Deommodore Lenoir helped the 49ers to a four-point victory. Lenoir added one stuff, while also posting an 81.1 tackle grade from PFF. Jordan James played nine snaps on special teams. The 49ers will face the Seahawks in the next round of the playoffs.
Brandon Johnson is on the practice squad for the Eagles and did not play
Los Angeles Rams 34, Carolina Panthers 31
Terrance Ferguson did not see the field for the Rams, and Popo Aumavae is on Injured Reaerve for the Panthers The Rams advance to face the Bears in the Divisional Round.
New England Patriots 16, Los Angeles Chargers 3
Christian Gonzalez deflected two passes in the Patriots big win over the Chargers. Gonzalez racked up a 78.5 coverage grade and a 77.7 defensive grade from PFF. The Patriots continue on their playoff journey.
Throwing 19-for-31 and 159 yards, Justin Herbert fell short of helping the Chargers advance in the playoffs. Herbert added 57 yards on the ground in 10 carries. On the defensive side, Troy Dye made two tackles, one by himself, in just 26 snaps. Jamaree Caldwell posted three tackles, two of them on his own. Nikko Reed did not see the field for the Chargers.
Houston Texans 30, Pittsburgh Steelers 6
Jamal Hill contributed well to the Texans defense on Monday night. Hill executed three tackles, one of which was solo, and added one stuff. For his efforts, Hill tallied a 77.6 tackle grade and a 75.8 overall defensive grade from PFF.
Making one sack and six tackles, Derrick Harmon played well on the Steelers defense. Two of his tackles were solo, and Harmon posted a 72.2 tackle grade from PFF.
Chicago Bears 31, Green Bay Packers 27
Evan Williams led the Packers defense in their four-point loss on Saturday. Williams made seven tackles, six of which were on his own, and earned a 79.8 run defense grade from PFF.
Noah Sewell is on Injured Reserve for the Bears.
Buffalo Bills 27, Jacksonville Jaguars 24
In 42 snaps, Arik Armstead executed four tackles, two of which were solo. In the Jaguars' three-point loss, Armstead tallied an 85.2 run defense grade and an 81.8 overall defensive grade from PFF. Johnny Mundt played 19 snaps for the Jaguars.
Patrick Herbert and Jabbar Muhammad are on Jacksonville's practice squad and did not play.
