
Road Trip Begins Against San Diego State

The Ducks will also play Long Beach State and UC Riverside this weekend.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon volleyball team continues its non-conference schedule with a road trip to Long Beach, Calif, beginning Thursday evening against San Diego State. First serve of the UO weekend opener is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Walter Pyramid. Oregon (5-0) will also play host Long Beach State and UC Riverside this weekend.

Series History vs San Diego State
Oregon has won the past four meetings with San Diego State including a 3-1 win in 2023, the last match between the programs. SDSU carries a 6-5 advantage in the all-time series.
Series History vs Long Beach State
Oregon and Long Beach State have split the prior 10 matches in the all-time series. LBSU won five of the first six meetings but the Ducks have won the last four including a straight-set win in Eugene last season.
Series History vs UC Riverside
Saturday's match will be just the third meeting between Oregon and UC Riverside, and the first since 2010. The Ducks lead the all-time series, 2-0.
Last Time Out
Oregon jumped out to a 2-0 lead and held on for the five-set win over Colorado State (Sept. 6) in Eugene. Four UO players reached double-digit kills led by a match-high 17 kills by Valentina Vaulet. Freshman libero Natalie Fukumoto picked up 20 digs while Maria Tabacuks and Cora Taylor each recorded a double-double. The result doubled as the 1,000th victory in program history.
Coming in Clutch
Playing in its first five setter of the season, Oregon responded by hitting .600 (13-1-20) in the fifth against Colorado State. Maria Tabacuks, Ksenija Tomic and Valentina Vaulet each had four kills in the frame. The Ducks jumped out to the early 4-0 lead on their way to the home win.
Steady Hand
Junior Valentina Vaulet leads the team with 68 kills (3.58 k/s) while hitting .348 entering the LBSU weekend. She has 10 or more kills in four of five matches while hitting at least .278 in each outing. Vaulet also leads UO with 10 aces, posting two or more service winners in four of five matches.
Spreading the Wealth
Oregon is one of two Big Ten teams (Indiana) with three players among the league top 25 in kills per set: Alanah Clemente (3.62 k/s, 14th), Valentina Vaulet (3.58 k/s, 15th) and Maria Tabacuks (2.89 k/s, 24th).
Blocking is Fun
Sophomore Iva Sucurovic enters the weekend second in the Big Ten with 29.0 total blocks, good for 1.53 blocks per set. In her past three outings, she has 26 blocks including a season-high 12 against Montana State (Aug. 31) followed by back-to-back matches with seven blocks.
Service Pressure
Eight different Oregon players have at least one ace through the team's first five matches. Valentina Vaulet leads UO with 10 aces this season followed by Alanah Clemente and Maria Tabacuks with five each. Vaulet has at least one service ace in each match with multiple in four of five.
