EUGENE, Ore. – For the third time during the Mark Wasikowski era, Oregon will take part in a preseason neutral-site tournament before conference play begins. The Ducks will be joined by Arizona, UC Irvine and Vanderbilt in the third annual Live Like Lou Las Vegas College Baseball Classic taking place from Feb. 27 to March 1, 2026, at the Las Vegas Ballpark.
"The Peak tournament in Las Vegas is one of the premier nonconference college baseball events in the country," Wasikowski said. "This year's field has exceptional quality and should be the nation's marquee event in week three of the college baseball season. We greatly appreciate Peak Events for the invitation and are looking forward to competing against the best. Go Ducks!"
The tournament field features four teams that advanced to the 2025 NCAA Tournament with two winning their regular-season conference championships and the other two claiming their conference tournament titles. All four teams won more than 40 games with Arizona (44-21) leading the way followed by UC Irvine (43-17), Vanderbilt (43-18) and Oregon (42-16).
The Ducks will face Arizona in their opener on Friday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. (PT) at the home of the Las Vegas Aviators, the Triple-A affiliate of the Athletics, playing UC Irvine (12 p.m.) and Vanderbilt (11 a.m.) on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Oregon and former Pac-12 Conference rival Arizona have met 56 times on the diamond with the Wildcats holding a 30-25-1 edge in the all-time series. The two teams last played on March 24, 2024, in Eugene. The Ducks have won nine of the 13 games played with Wasikowski at the helm of the Ducks' program.
Oregon and UC Irvine have split their 10 all-time games against each other with the Ducks winning the last meeting, 10-5, at UCI on May 6, 2008. UO has won five of the last seven games in the series.
The Ducks hold a 5-4 advantage over Vanderbilt with their last win coming at the 2023 Nashville Regional Tournament. Three of the nine games between the clubs have been in a regional tournament with two of those in the 2014 Nashville Regional.
Tickets can be purchased on a per-day basis or as a weekend package in select seating sections. Both reserved and general admission options are available at www.peak.events. On the same site, fans traveling to Las Vegas can also find discounted hotel rates. Additionally, all-inclusive packages are available, which include lodging, game tickets, and in-stadium hospitality.
All six games of the Live Like Lou Las Vegas Classic are set to be broadcast exclusively via D1Baseball.com.
