EUGENE, Ore. – D1Baseballl released its All-America Teams on Thursday making Oregon outfielder Mason Neville just the third unanimous All-America selection in program history.
D1Baseball named Neville a third-team selection giving the Ducks' leadoff hitter and centerfielder All-America honors from all five organizations sponsoring All-America Teams. Neville claimed a first-team All-America selection (NCBWA), a second-team honor (Perfect Game) and three third-team accolades (ABCA, Baseball America, D1Baseball) following a stellar junior season.
Neville joins David Peterson (2017) and Aaron Zavala (2021) as the only Ducks to earn unanimous selections to the All-America teams. Peterson finished with five first-team honors (ABCA, Collegiate Baseball, D1Baseball, NCBWA, Perfect Game) and one third-team accolade (Baseball America), while Zavala matched Peterson's five first-team selections (ABCA, Baseball America, D1Baseball, NCBWA, Perfect Game) and added a second-team honor (Collegiate Baseball). Collegiate Baseball ceased operations after the 2023 season.
Neville, a semifinalist for both the Dick Howser Trophy and the Golden Spikes Award, finished the season leading the nation in both home runs (26) and home runs per game (0.46). The Ducks' centerfielder slashed .290/.429/.724 with a 1.153 OPS.
A first-team All-Big Ten Conference selection, Neville shattered Oregon's single-season home run record with eight more than the old record, while also setting a school record for slugging percentage and walks (53) as well as tying for the program record in runs scored (67). He ended his junior season as the Oregon career leader in slugging percentage (.699), while also ranking second in home runs (42) and fifth in on-base percentage (.405).
