McMorris, Giardina Named NCATA All-Americans

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oregon acrobatics and tumbling seniors Blessyn McMorris and Alexis Giardina each garnered all-American recognition by the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association following the 2025 NCATA Championships.
This marks the second season that Giardina has been named an all-American, becoming one of 12 Ducks in program history to earn multiple all-America honors during their career. A 2024 trio tumbling event champion, Giardina competed in all 34 meets for Oregon during her career as a top, base and tumbler. This season, she competed in five of six events and was a part of the tumbling lineup that set the two highest scores since 2017 (58.275 at Baylor, 58.025 vs. Gannon) and the two highest team event scores under head coach Taylor Susnara (99.43 at Baylor, 99.18 vs. Morgan State). Giardina also served as the caller for the seven-element acro routine that won the event title on Sunday morning.
McMorris becomes the 18th Duck to earn all-America recognition. The 2022 NCATA Freshman of the Year, McMorris competed in five of six events as a specialty base in all 10 meets this season after missing last year with an achilles injury. She was named the NCATA Athlete of the Week after the Ducks' first win of the season, leading the Ducks to scores of 9.85 or better in all three pyramid heats against Morgan State. She was instrumental in both of the Ducks' 10.0 scores in open pyramid, as well as UO's fifth-ever event title in the open pyramid.
In addition to postseason award winners, the NCATA announced its yearly honor roll with recognizes student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher. This season's honor roll includes 17 Ducks – Shea Barnes, Selah Bell, Cassidy Cu, Avery Dodd, Haley Ellis, Mari Fukutomi, Rachel Furlong, Bethany Glick, Niya Hewitt, Morgan Hood, Brylie Hoover, Kamryn Horiuchi, Nicole Jackson, Angelica Martin, Morgan Sweeney, Mia Tims, and Sophia Wing.
