Ducks defeaed Indiana Friday and lost to Purdue Sunday

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Oregon men's tennis split a pair of road matches this weekend, picking up a road victory over Indiana, 4-1, on Friday before dropping a match to Purdue, 4-2, on Sunday.

Match one: Oregon 4, Indiana 1.
UO got out to the early lead with wins from Vlad Breazu/Clement Lemire (6-3) and Matthew Burton/Lenn Luemkemann (7-6) on the doubles courts.

Breazu picked up his second win of the day with a 6-2, 6-4 sweep on court two and the Ducks pushed it to 2-0. Indiana got one back on court four, with the Ducks still needing two more wins to take the match.

Luemkemann went to a third set on court one, but after dropping the first set, Oregon's No. 1 took the last two and swung momentum back in favor of Oregon. Soon after, Lachlan Robertson clinched the match for the Ducks, winning 1-6, 6-4, 7-5 on court five.

The Ducks got off to a slow start and fell behind 1-0 after losing the doubles point. Matthew Burton tied things up with a 6-2, 6-4 sweep in singles to even things up at one-one. The Ducks then split the next two results, a win on court five for Robertson, and a loss on court six for Errey, making it a 2-2 tie. Purdue then took control of the match and clinched the win, with consecutive victories on courts one and three. Breazu went unfinished on court two.
