EUGENE, Ore. – The 12th-ranked Oregon volleyball team takes a seven-match winning streak in Sunday's non-conference finale against Oregon State. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena. It will be the Ducks' first home match since the season-opening weekend.
The Oregon-Oregon State match will stream live on B1G+.
Including Sunday's rivalry matchup, Oregon (7-1) will play its next three matches on its home floor. The Ducks open Big Ten play next weekend against Illinois and Indiana.
Oregon started its week with road sweep at Portland State (Sept. 18), its 11th-consecutive victory against the Vikings and 14th in the past 15 meetings. In the middle, Onye Ofoegbu and Colby Neal combined for 15 kills and a .636 hitting percentage. The Ducks hit .301—fourth time at .300 or higher this year—while holding Portland State to a .087 mark.
Ofoegbu had five blocks while Daley McClellan and Cristin Cline picked up 11 and nine digs, respectively.
Through its first eight matches, Oregon ranks among the top 30 nationally in blocks per set (2.91/13th), hitting percentage (.285/16th) and opponent hitting percentage (.148/26th). Individually, Ofoegbu ranks ninth in the NCAA with her .478 hitting percentage and Cline is 13th among the nation's setters at 10.85 assists per set.
Junior outside hitting Mimi Colyer, eighth in the Big Ten at 4.39 points per set, was named to the AVCA Player of the Year Watch List earlier this week. The Lincoln, Calif., native has a season high of 19 kills at Colorado State (Sept. 6) while hitting .425 in the four-set win. In a double-double performance against No. 17 BYU, Colyer also registered a season-high five aces.
Dating back to the start of the 2006 season, Oregon has won 32 of 36 against Oregon State including nine straight entering Sunday. The Ducks are 13-1 in the head-to-head under head coach Matt Ulmer.
