EUGENE, Ore. – University of Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens announced Monday that acrobatics and tumbling head coach Taylor Susnara has signed a contract extension, keeping her in Eugene through the 2028 season.
"Taylor has exceptional leadership skills, unwavering integrity, and a strong commitment to a first-class student-athlete experience," Mullens said. "Under her guidance, Oregon acrobatics and tumbling student-athletes have consistently excelled academically and athletically, including regular appearances at the NCATA Championships. Taylor is a remarkable role model for our program, and we look forward to continued success under her direction."
The Ducks have claimed seven national event titles in three seasons under Susnara and have reached at least the NCATA semifinals in each of the last two seasons, including a national championship appearance in 2023.
"There's no place like home!" Susnara said. "I am extremely honored and grateful to be leading this program. The support, community and passion here at Oregon is unmatched. Big goals lie ahead. Go Ducks!"
Oregon put together a 4-4 season in 2024 – all four wins coming against top-10 opponents – and advanced to the NCATA Championship semifinals after clinching the No. 4 seed in the tournament. Makena Carrion and Alexis Giardina earned NCATA All-America honors, marking the fourth season in a row that a Duck has earned the distinction. Carrion joined Susnara as one of just 11 Ducks in program history to earn multiple All-America honors in a career.
Oregon claimed the open toss, duo tumbling, trio tumbling and quad tumbling national title events at last season's national championship, giving the Ducks their most wins in an event title since 2019 and growing the program total to 56.
Susnara, a three-time All-American herself, has coached eight All-Americans and one NCATA Freshman of the Year and has helped lead the Ducks to seven individual event titles.
