UO Set to Host Duck Invitational
10/31/24 | Women's Tennis
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women's tennis team is prepped for its first home event of the fall season, as the Ducks will welcome Boise State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Seattle and Washington State to the Student Tennis Center for the three-day Duck Invitational starting Friday.
Competition will begin at 9:30 a.m. each day, with two rounds of doubles and one round of singles play on Friday. Saturday will feature a round of doubles followed by a round of singles, and Sunday will be the third round of singles.
The Ducks will match up in doubles against Seattle to begin the day Friday, before then taking on Idaho right after. UO's singles lineup will match up with Boise State following the conclusion of doubles play.
The Duck Invitational marks the third fall event for head coach Courtney Nagle's squad after competing at the ITA Northwest Regionals two week ago. Candela Aparisi, Patsy Daughters and Olivia Symons all lead the team with three singles victories apiece this fall.
On the doubles side, UO has a combined 12-8 record over the two events. Three doubles teams have tallied three victories, with Aparisi and Julia Visaya boasting a 3-0 mark when paired together.
Matches are free and open to the public at the Student Tennis Center. The tournament draws and results can be found here.
