The Oregon women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 38 Arizona State on Sunday to end conference play.
TEMPE, Ariz. – Freshman Allison Mulville recorded her first Pac-12 win to give the Oregon women's tennis team its only point of the day in a 6-1 loss against No. 38 Arizona State at the Whitman Tennis Center on Sunday.
How It Happened: The Sun Devils (11-9, 4-5 Pac-12) started the day hot, jumping out to an early 1-0 lead over the Ducks (6-15, 0-10 Pac-12) after winning doubles on courts one and two.
In singles play, the Devils kept their momentum going, rattling off two straight-set wins on courts one and six to extend their lead to 3-0.
Allison Mulville interrupted Arizona State's run with a dominant 7-6, 6-1 performance on court five. Mulville's win in Tempe marks the first Pac-12 win of her career, and eighth win of the dual season.
However, after Mulville put the Ducks on the board, Arizona State would go on to win on the remaining three courts, securing the victory at home.
