After being sidelined with an injury, sophomore Paiton Wagner made her fall season debut at the Seminole All-Conference Showdown
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Paiton Wagner traveled to the Sunshine State to compete in the Seminole All-Conference Showdown after being sidelined by an injury for most of the fall season.
How It Happened: In her first singles match of the tournament, the sophomore pushed the match to a third set after losing 6-1 in the first. However Wagner's furious comeback fell short as we was defeated by Ana Melilio of Florida State, 6-1, 5-7, 10-7.
On the second day, Wagner won her singles match in three-set thriller, 7-6 (7-1), 1-6, 10-4. Wagner also notched a victory in doubles as she and her partner, Mary Hunter Hyche of Furman, defeated Abigail Rosiello and Kristren White of West Virginia, 6-3.
On the final day of the Showdown, Wagner fell to West Virginia's Anastasiia Bovolskaya, 6-1, 6-4.
