NCAA Preview Awaits Ducks in Wisconsin

EUGENE, Ore. – With just over a month until the NCAA meet, the Oregon cross country teams will get a feel for this year's championship course Saturday at the Pre-Nationals meet in Madison, Wis. The Ducks will compete in the Cardinal seeded races with the women going off at 8 a.m. PT followed by the men at 9:30 a.m.

Women: No. 1 Colorado, No. 4 OREGON, No. 7 Arkansas, No. 9 BYU, No. 11 Indiana, No. 13 NC State, No. 18 Ole Miss, No. 21 Minnesota, No. 23 Portland, No. 25 Florida State
Men: No. 1 Northern Arizona, No. 3 Wisconsin, No. 5 Stanford, No. 9 Colorado State, No. 11 Colorado, No. 13 OREGON, No. 15 Southern Utah, No. 20 Michigan, No. 22 Ole Miss, No. 26 NC State
This year's Pre-Nationals will consist of two seeded races per gender. Each team selected to race in the seeded sections can run up to seven athletes. Individuals not competing in the seeded sections will run in the Grey races scheduled for 11 a.m. (women) and 11:45 a.m. (men).

The Women of Oregon swept the top-seven spots at the Bill Dellinger Invitational in Springfield with Ejore (19:32.7) racing to her second win of the year. The top four Ducks crossed the finish line within two seconds of each other. On the men's side, Mestler finished third overall at the Dellinger with all five scorers placing in the top 20.
Up Next
Saturday's race will also serve as Oregon's final tune-up for the postseason which begins Friday, Oct. 26 with the Pac-12 Championships hosted by Stanford. The conference meet will be followed by the NCAA West Regional (Nov. 9) in Sacramento and the NCAA Championships (Nov. 17) back in Madison.
