Ducks Drop Road Decision to Denver

BOISE, Idaho - The University of Oregon women's tennis team fell to the Denver Pioneers Saturday at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center 4-2.
The Ducks are now 5-5 on the season, while the Pioneers move to 7-3.
In neutral site match-ups, the Ducks are 1-1.
How it Happened: In doubles, freshman Julia Eshet and senior Marlou Kluiving picked up their 16th win of the season in a 7-6 decision against Bianca Mok and Morgan Barnhill. No. 11 Julia O'Laughlin and Maureen Slattery of Denver took down sophomore Shweta Sangwan and junior Alyssa Tobita, 6-1. Sophomore Daniela Nasser and junior Nia Rose solidified the Ducks' doubles win with a 6-0 sweep against Sonja Radosevic and Gracia Mboko.
In singles, Denver picked up the pace with four straight-set victories and only dropped one decision. Eshet picked up the lone singles win for the Ducks, as she defeated Radosevic, 7-5, 7-5. The win is Eshet's 12th collegiate singles victory. O'Laughlin took down Sangwan, 6-3, 6-1. Rose fell to Slattery, 7-6, 7-5. Tobita fell to Mok, 6-4,7-6(2). Arisha Ladhani took down Nasser, 6-1, 6-1. Kluving's match against Mboko went unfinished (4-6, 6-3, 3-5).
What it Means: Oregon is now 5-5 on the season and 1-1 in neutral site play. With her singles win today, Eshet is 12-5 overall. Kluiving and Eshet are 16-3 overall in doubles play, leading the Ducks in wins. Rose and Nasser are 10-3 overall in doubles.
