The Oregon women’s tennis team sent all three doubles pairs to the sweet 16 Friday at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships, but saw their singles runs come to an end in three sets.
STANFORD, Calif. – The Oregon women's tennis team sent all three doubles pairs to the sweet 16 Friday at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships, but saw their singles runs come to an end in three sets.

How it Happened: In their first doubles match of the tournament the third-ranked duo of senior Alyssa Tobita and junior Shweta Sangwan rolled past Emma Critser and Kareena Manji of St. Mary's 8-2.
Senior Nia Rose and junior Daniela Nasser pulled out a close match over UC Davis' Lani Rae Green and Isabella von Ebbe 8-6.
Sophomore Julia Eshet and Rifanty Kahfiani completed the doubles sweep with an 8-3 decision over Pacific's Karina Vyrlan and Mayan Sela.
In singles play, Sangwan and Tobita began the day with decisive wins in the round of 32 by scores of 6-1, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-1, respectively.
Tobita went on to drop a hard fought three set match in the sweet 16 to Stanford's Janice Shin 6-3, 0-6, 6-4.
Sangwan squared off against No. 1 seed Melissa Lord of Stanford in her sweet 16 match pushing the seventh-ranked player in the country to three sets before falling 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
Eshet won her opening set against UC Berkeley's Anna Bright in the round of 32, but the ninth-seeded Bright rallied to take the match in three sets 2-6, 6-3, 7-5.
Notable: The Ducks have the opportunity to send three doubles pairs to the quarterfinals tomorrow, the farthest a doubles pair have gone in regional play.
