Ducks Perfect in Doubles Play and 5-1 in Singles After Day Two

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Oregon women's tennis team swept their second day of doubles matches and went 5-1 in singles play on the second day of the Georgia State Invitational.
How It Happened: The Ducks' duo of sophomore Shweta Sangwan and junior Alyssa Tobita defeated Horsfall/Pereira of Middle Tennessee 6-2.
Freshman Julia Eshet and senior Marlou Kluiving bested the Blue Raiders pair of Magazzini/Zirilli 6-2.
Junior Nia Rose and Daniela Nasser won 6-2 against Burrows/Peris of MT.
In singles play, the Ducks went 5-1 against Georgia State.
Tobita won in two sets 7-5,6-2 over Kristin Rehse. In three sets, 6-3,5-7,6-4, Rose defeated Daniella Ramirez. Kluiving took fown Lara Vovk 6-1,6-1. In the match-up between Eshet and Anastasia Grosheva, Eshet won 6-1,6-1. Nasser won 6-1,6-0 against Illona Golvnker. Damira Muminovic defeated Sangwan, 6-4,6-4.
What it Means: The Ducks swept the Georgia State Invitational in doubles play.
In singles match-ups, Oregon went 5-1.
Looking Ahead: Tomorrow, on the final day of the tournament, singles play will begin at 10:00 a.m.
