
Eshet, Kluiving Advance to Quarterfinals, Match Program Regional Record

STANFORD, Calif. - Freshman Julia Eshet and senior Marlou Kluiving advanced to the doubles quarterfinals of the ITA Northwest Regionals. The win was the farthest a Duck pair has fared in regional play since Courtney Nagle and Daria Panova in the 2003 season.
After falling just short of the semifinals, the Ducks have wrapped regionals action.

How it Happened: The Ducks had two doubles pairs advance to the round of 16 after besting their opponents on Saturday.
In the round of 16 played today, sophomore Daniela Nasser and junior Nia Rose fell to Emily Maxfield and Gen McCloskey of USF 8-7(7-5).
To advance to the quarterfinals, Eshet and Kluiving defeated Washington's Stacey Fung and Tami Grende 8-3. The duo fell just short of the semifinals to Maegan Manasse and Denise Starr 8-5 of UC Berkeley.
What it Means: The doubles pair of of Eshet and Kluiving advanced to the quarterfinals, the farthest a Ducks' pair has advanced since Courtney Nagle and Dasha Panova advanced to the quarterfinals during the 2003 ITA Northwest Regional.
