ROLLING HILLS, Calif. – The Oregon women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Jack Kramer Invitational at the Jack Kramer Club Sunday.

In consolation doubles, Alyssa Tobita and Marlou Kluiving knocked off their opponents from Fresno State, 8-2.
Freshman Micheline Aubuchon notched a win as well in the tournament's final day of action, defeating Camille De Leon in singles, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6, in a third-set tiebreaker.
Alyssa Tobita came up short, 6-1, 6-1, to Fresno State's Sophia Watts. After a straight-set win on Saturday afternoon, Marlou Kluiving dropped her match, 6-1, 7-5, to Galina Bykova of Fresno State.
From Coach Silverio: “We would like to thank the Jack Kramer Club and all of its supporters for the great event they hosted this weekend. The level of competition was high in every match we played, and that's a part of what is going to continue to make us better. In order for us to become the best, we have to compete against the best. It was an accomplishment to make it to the last day of the event and that is a testament to our improved toughness and discipline.”
What It Means: The Ducks competed well throughout the four-day Jack Kramer Invitational, advancing to the final day of competition. With the fall season concluded, Oregon turns its attention to preparing for the upcoming spring dual schedule. The Ducks posted encouraging performances throughout the fall, especially from many of the team's newcomers. Head coach Alison Silverio certainly hopes that the attitude and toughness the team has improved and developed over the course of the last three tournaments will translate into success when the team takes the court again in the spring.
