
Ducks Rout Rival California, 16-10

With the win, Oregon (10-5, 3-0 MPSF) has tied last year's team for the most wins in school history, while California drops to 5-6 on the year and 1-1 in the MPSF.
"We pieced together a really complete effort in every facet of the game today," head coach Jen Larsen said. "Our goalkeeping was phenomenal, the defense played tremendous and our offense was able to make some really great plays."
The Ducks and Bears traded sets of goals to open the game until Jen May's goal at the 15:34 mark broke up the 3-3 tie and ignited the Ducks on a six-goal run to end the half with five different Ducks getting into the act. Bradley would tally her second goal of the game in the run and Kate Fleming would find the back of the net at the 21:46 mark. The Ducks would then score three goals in a two minute span as Alison Leiner would score on a free position, May wold follow :43 seconds later with an unassisted tally and Casey Rector would find Lindsay Killian for the capping goal :11 seconds after that to take the Ducks into the locker room with a 9-3 lead.
California would come out of the half with a 3-1 run to cut the lead to 10-6, but the Ducks would right the ship with a with a three-goal spurt in a two minute span that as Killian, Theresa Waldron, and Bradley would tally goals between the 16:32 and the 14:29 marks that would put the game permanently out of reach.

Goalkeeper Anna Poponyak made seven saves in the first half as the Ducks made their run, and had eight saves total on the afternoon.
The Ducks outshot the Bears 35-22 on the afternoon, but most importantly controlled the possession throughout the match as they controlled a majority of the draw controls and used the momentum to hold the ball in their offensive zone for a majority of the game.
