PULLMAN, Wash.
- Oregon's offensive trio of
Gorana Maricic, Sonja Newcombe, and Heather Meyers led the 13th-ranked
Ducks to a three-game sweep (30-24, 34-32, 30-22) of Washington
State on Wednesday night at Bohler Gym.
Oregon
improves to 20-9 on the season and 9-8 in the Pacific-10 Conference, maintaining what is now a four-match winning streak.
The
Cougars drop to 9-22 overall and 0-17 Pac-10.
Maricic led Oregon
with 24 kills, while Newcombe added 12 kills and eight digs. Meyers added 10
kills, helping lead Oregon to a
.311 attacking percentage.
The Ducks defense held Washington
State to a .186 attacking
percentage, but the Cougars attack was led by Brittany Johnson and Tara West, who had 15 and 12
kills, respectively.
Oregon junior
libero Katie Swoboda led the Ducks with 16 digs.

more regular season match remaining on the schedule, traveling to sixth-ranked Washington
