
Fleming Flies Ducks past UC Davis, 13-6

DAVIS, Calif. -- Sophomore midfielder Kate Fleming scored five goals and added an assist to lead the University of Oregon to a 13-6 win over UC Davis in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation women's lacrosse action at UC Davis' Aggie Field Sunday.
The Ducks scored four goals in the last six minutes of the first half to enter the locker room up 6-2 and would not look back. Sophomore Jenny Browne, Fleming, and freshman Ilsa Van de Berg would create the half-ending run, with Fleming scoring two of her five goals in the span.
In rainy conditions that seemed to favor the Ducks,
“Overall I was very happy with the team's performance today,” Coach Jen Larsen said. “It was good to get that first conference win out of the way with such a balanced effort.”
Sophomores Lindsey Killian and Theresa Waldron added two goals each for the Ducks, who would only trail once in the contest (1-0). Erin Gaebe and Jana Bradley would also each tally a single goal.

With the win, the Ducks even their overall and conference record to 1-1.
