
Women's Tennis Stopped Short at Arizona State, 7-0

TEMPE, Ariz. ? A day after defeating Arizona, the Ducks fell on hard times against the Arizona State, losing 7-0, and dropping to 9-2 overall and 1-1 in Pac-10 play. Oregon surrendered the doubles point for the first time in 11 matches and was shutout for the first time in 24 matches.
In doubles, No. 15-ranked Daria Panova and Dominika Dieskova fell for the second time in as many days, losing to ASU's Lauren Colallilo and Kady Pooler, 8-4. Seniors Ester Bak and Davina Mendiburu also loss for the first time in dual play (10-1), falling at the No. 3 position.
In singles, the Ducks were swept at all six positions. Mendiburu was the lone Duck to reach a third set, losing to the Sun Devils'Jessica Leitch, 6-3, 3-6, (10-7). No. 86 Dieskova lost for the second consecutive match after being upset by Joslynn Burkett, 7-5, 6-0.
The Ducks return home to play a non-conference match against Boise State, Saturday, at noon, at the Student Tennis Center.
