Jana Bradley, one of the most prolific goal scorers in Oregon lacrosse history, will serve as a student assistant coach for the 2008-09 season. While finishing her college education with a double major in Journalism and Sociology, Bradley will help guide in the new era of Oregon lacrosse.
A native of Encinitas, Calif., Bradley was part of the Ducks’ inaugural class in 2005, and finished her four-year career with Oregon in May 2008.
“Jana is going to help us with the incoming freshman as we take the team to the next level,” head coach Jen Larsen said at the time of the announcement. “Jana is also going to help us in organizing the offensive skills set. We are thrilled that she is going to be around to keep her personality and passion for the Ducks on the sidelines, and to help others continue to push the program in the right direction.”
Bradley’s offensive numbers rank near the top of the Oregon record books. A four-year starter, Bradley’s 111 career goals are second all-time. In addition, her 135 career points rank fourth all-time. During the Ducks’ record 13-win season in 2008, Bradley was third in the goal-scoring column with 28 scores.
In 2006, Bradley was named to Mountain Pacific Sports Federation all-tournament team, while in 2005, she was named to the MPSF all-conference team and selected as the team’s Rookie of the Year.
