Stephanie Brooks

Stephanie Brooks joined the Athletic Medicine staff in 1997. Stephanie is responsible for managing the healthcare of student athletes on the football and cheer teams. As a valued member of the performance team, she has embraced a collaborative based approach to the restoration and reconditioning of the injured athlete.
Brooks earned her bachelor’s degree from the California State University at Fresno in physical education. She then went on to earn her master’s degree from the University of Oregon in exercise and human movement while serving as a graduate assistant from 1995 to 1997.
Stephanie combines a range of advanced clinical skills including Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Postural Restoration Institute techniques to restore quality of movement following an injury. She is skilled in many restorative techniques including myofascial release, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and a variety of advanced manual therapy techniques. Stephanie’s current professional interests include the nervous system as it relates to the movement and breathing pattern’s influence on wellness. She uses these techniques and more to promote a seamless integration of injury rehabilitation and performance training.
A native of Oxnard, California, Stephanie has been blessed to be named co-captain of her favorite team The Fab5, which consists of her husband Doug and her three forgiving children, Peyton, Myles, and Mayson. The Fab5 are known for their summer tours and can be seen at a National Park near you.
