2003-04: Veteran post player returns for his fourth season in Eugene. Attended the Pete Newell Big Man’s Camp in August. Confidence as a senior should result in a larger role this season. Great range for a big man combined with his excellent shooting touch makes for a potentially potent weapon on offense. Also an excellent student with a 3.10 grade point average.
2002-03: One of five regulars among Oregon’s frontline rotation who played in all 33 games and averaged about 13 minutes per outing. Totalled 2.3 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest. Scored career-best 10 points in Jan. 4 win vs. Arizona State. Matched career-high with five rebounds at Portland State, while playing a career-best 25 minutes. Netted four points in 15 minutes during Pac-10 Tournament semifinal versus UCLA. Scored seven points in key role off the bench during win over No. 14 Kansas. Six points and four rebounds in 22 minutes at Oregon State. Also added seven points against California and Portland. Named Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.
2001-02: Provided frontline depth behind Oregon’s veterans. Averaged 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds per game in 20 appearances. Hit four-of-eight threes on the season. Season-high of six points on two three-pointers against Long Beach State and Washington State. Solid game in his home state with five points and a career-high five rebounds in 18 minutes at Minnesota. Played in both Pac-10 tournament games against Washington and USC, and saw one minute of action in NCAA Midwest Regional Final versus Kansas.
2000-01: Saw action in 21 games as a reserve front line player. Shot .500 from the field, hitting 12-of-24 attempts. Also netted 3-of-7 three-pointers (.429) and hit 73.3 percent from the free throw line (11-of-15). Season-best eight points in Dec. 12 win vs. Illinois-Chicago. Netted seven points at Stanford on Jan. 13 and at Arizona on March 3.
BEFORE OREGON: A McDonald’s All-America nominee and an all-state second team performer at Faribault High School. Two-time all-Big Nine selection. Averaged 20.0 points and 11.4 rebounds per game as a senior as coach Brian Winter’s squad went 15-9. Led the Big Nine Conference in rebounding his senior campaign and ranked third in scoring. Hit nearly 40 percent (24-of-61) from three-point land. Averaged 18.9 points and 10.3 rebounds per game as a junior, leading the Big Nine in both categories. Shot 48.5 percent from the field. High game was 39 points. Helped Faribault to the state tournament as a sophomore. For his career, scored 1,173 points with 750 rebounds. Four-year letterman.
