An, Yeo Shoot 1 Under In Fall Opener

LAKE Elmo, Minn. – The Oregon women's golf team is in fifth place at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M after opening the 2026-27 season with a 3-over 291 on Monday at Royal Golf Club.Â
Freshman Celina Yeo fired a 1-under 71 in her collegiate debut and was matched by junior Tong An, an all-Big Ten first-team selection last season. Both Ducks are tied for seventh place individually going into Tuesday's second round.Â
Wake Forest leads the 12-team field at 8-under par after 18 holes, followed by a three-way tie for second at even par between Virginia, South Carolina and USC.Â
How it Happened: The Ducks got their first round of 2026-27 off to a little bit of a slow start, but picked it up on the back nine. Across the final six holes, Oregon's four counting scorers combined to shoot 6-under par.Â
Yeo was even through 11 holes before playing a clean final seven holes, making six straight pars before getting into the red with a birdie on 17. She finished with a par on 18 to card a 1-under 71.
An started well and was 2 under through eight holes after making three birdies in a six-hole stretch. Three straight bogeys brought her to 1 over through 11 holes, but she bounced back with four straight pars and then birdied both 16 and 18 to join Yeo with at 1-under par.
Sophomore transfer Trinity Beth was 4 over through her first 10 holes as a Duck before joining Yeo and An with a strong finish on the back nine. She shot 2 under across her final eight holes with birdies on 14 and 18 to card a 2-over 74.Â
Sophomore Shyla Singh rounded out the counting scores with a 3-over 75, making three birdies in her final six holes.Â
