Ducks Wrap Play At Stephens Cup

FRISCO, Texas – The Oregon women's golf team closed play at the 2026 Jackson T. Stephens Cup on Wednesday, falling 4-1 to Texas in the third-place match at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco.Â
In a rematch of last year's third-place match at the Stephens Cup, the Ducks got a win from freshman Prim Prachnakorn and were leading or tied late in two other matches, but the Longhorns were able to secure the victory for the second year in a row.Â
How it Happened: Playing in her first collegiate match, Prachnakorn dropped the opening hole against Texas' Lauren Kim but won or tied each of the next eight to take a 3 up lead through 10 holes. Prachnakorn's lead never got to less than 2 up, and a par on 17 secured a 2&1 victory for the No. 46 ranked amateur in the world.Â
Prachnakorn's win cut Oregon's deficit to 2-1, after the Longhorns' Isla McDonald O'Brien and Selina Liao picked up 3&2 victories over Trinity Beth and Shyla Singh, respectively.Â
Junior Tong An was locked in a battle against Texas' Farah O'Keefe, the reigning NCAA individual champion and the No. 3 ranked amateur in the world. O'Keefe was 1 up through six holes before An won or tied three of the next four holes to take a 1 up lead through 10. An regained a 1 up lead with a birdie at 15 her lead remained there going into No. 17, but O'Keefe won the final two holes to pull out a 1 up victory.Â
Freshman Celina Yeo was 1 down at the turn against Texas' Amy Lee before tying it up with a par at No. 10. The match remained tied going to No. 14, but Lee won two of the next four holes to win the match, 2&1.Â
