Ducks To Face Texas In Match Play After Third-Place Finish

FRISCO, Texas – The Oregon women's golf team will go head-to-head against Texas in match play for the second year in a row at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup after placing third in stroke play on Tuesday at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco.Â
The Ducks shot 5-over par in the final round of stroke play to finish in third place at 8-over par. Wake Forest (-6) and South Carolina (-4) will face off in the championship match on Wednesday after taking the top two spots in stroke play, while Oregon will take on Texas (+19) in the third-place match. Florida State (+21) and Stanford (+27) rounded out the six-team field.Â
Tong An fired an even-par 72 to secure her second straight top-five finish to kick off her junior season, placing fifth overall at 2-under par. The 2026 all-Big Ten first-team selection has now shot par-or-better in all six rounds to open 2026-27.
"Really proud of AT for coming out and putting together another top-five performance," Radley said. "She is really stepping up as the leader of this team and is showing it both behind the scenes and with her play on the course. This has been an awesome start to the season for her."
How it Happened: An was 2 over at the turn on Tuesday, making two birdies but also carding back-to-back bogeys at holes 4-5 and 8-9. She found her groove on the back nine, going 2 under across her final nine holes with birdies on holes 13 and 15.Â
An was one of just seven players to shoot under par across three rounds of stroke play, finishing two strokes back of co-medalists Farah O'Keefe (Texas) and Macy Pate (Wake Forest).Â
Trinity Beth matched An with an even-par 72, making birdie at No. 4 and bogey at No. 5 before closing the round with 13 consecutive pars. It was the first par-or-better round as a Duck for Beth, a sophomore transfer from Georgia, who tied for 11th overall at 4 over.Â
Sophomore Shyla Singh joined An in the individual top 10 in a tie for eighth at 1 over following a 1-over 73 in the final round. Her 4-under 68 in the opening round tied for the lowest individual round by any player across all three rounds.Â
Freshman Prim Prachnakorn closed her first collegiate tournament in a tie for 17th at 7 over, as she and fellow freshman Celina Yeo both rounded out Oregon's counting scores on Tuesday with 4-over 76s.Â
