Ducks Host Utah in Preseason Finale

EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon volleyball team will close out its preseason slate Friday against Utah at 12 p.m. inside Matthew Knight Arena. The exhibition is free and open to the public with doors at the North entrance opening at 11:30 a.m.

"This is a big-time opportunity for us," head coach Trent Kersten said. "I think it's a just a chance to go show 'what are the things we need to do to play at a top-20 level.'"

Oregon is ranked 25^th in the AVCA preseason poll while Utah is receiving votes in the same release. The Ducks' season officially begins Aug. 28-29 at the SEMO Tournament in Cape Girardeau, Mo., with a pair of matches against Western Kentucky and host Southeast Missouri.

The Ducks' home-opening weekend is Sept. 4-6, a three-team round robin also including Long Island and Washington State.

Single-match and season tickets are currently on sale. Oregon will play 13 home matches in the regular season including nine dates against Big Ten opponents.
