Bradley A Finalist For Stopper Of The Year Award

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon sophomore Tanner Bradley is one of 14 finalists for the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award, presented to the nation's top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I baseball.

Bradley is one of just six finalists still participating in postseason play. Bradley made the second most appearances amongst the finalists while also boasting both the second-best WHIP and batting average against. His ERA is third best of the finalists.

Bradley has put together one of the best seasons in the country by a relief pitcher. Heading into the Austin Super Regional, the sophomore is 5-1 with a 1.76 ERA in 30 appearances with an 0.82 WHIP. He fanned 79 hitters in just 51 innings of work while allowing 12 runs (10 earned) on 24 hits with just 18 walks. Bradley led the Ducks in appearances, ERA and batting average against while leading all Oregon relievers in innings pitched. In his 30 appearances, Bradley allowed earned runs in just seven games with five of those allowing just a single run.

Bradley is the fourth Duck to be named a finalist for the award. Jimmie Sherfy was a finalist in back-to-back seasons while Kenyon Yovan claimed finalist honors following his freshman season.
