The NCAA West First Round will be contested May 27-30 in Fayetteville, Ark.

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon track and field team will have 55 entries at next week's NCAA West First Round meet as released Thursday morning. This year's regional meet takes place May 27-30 at John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville, Ark.

National qualifiers in the combined events were also announced Thursday featuring Liisa-Maria Lusti in the heptathlon. The reigning NCAA indoor pentathlon champion scored a lifetime-best 5,917 points in a runner-up finish at last weekend's Big Ten Championships. Lusti is also a West qualifier in the long jump.

The UO men will have six qualifiers each in the 1500 and 5,000 meters including Simeon Birnbaum and Tayson Echohawk entered in both. The UO women will have five qualifiers in the 1500 with three in the 5,000 meters and triple jump.

Reigning NCAA champion Aaliyah McCormick is the No. 3 overall qualifier in the 100-meter hurdles and will be joined in the field by teammate Micaela De Mello.

The Ducks' 55 regional entries—28 men, 27 women—are represented by 45 individuals and two relays.

The top 12 from each regional site then advances to the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships (June 10-13) at Hayward Field in Eugene. All-sessions and single-day ticket packages for the NCAA Championships are currently on sale.

To mirror the format of the national meet, the NCAA East and West First Rounds will be held over four days with alternating men's and women's programs. The men will compete on days one and three and the women will compete on days two and four. The East opening rounds will also take place next week at the University of Kentucky.
