
Men's Golf Wraps Up Weekend With Low Round In Hawaii

KOHALA COAST, Hawaii – The Oregon men's golf team concluded the final round at the Amer Ari Invitational on Saturday. As a team, the Ducks had their best round of the tournament, finishing with a 16-under 272 to equal the seventh lowest round to par in program history.
All four of Oregon's counting scores were under par for the tournament, with a team score of 31-under 833 to finish 12th in the field. 31-under par also equals the seventh best tournament score to par in Oregon history.
How It Happened
Freshman Sebastian Desoisa improved across all three rounds, shooting seven birdies for a 66 on the final day of play. Desoisa and senior Casper Nerpin both finished in the top 35, going 10-under for the tournament.
Nerpin shot a career-low 67 in round two and finished with a 68 on Saturday in his lowest career tournament to par. Nerpin's three eagles between rounds one and two were the most by any player in the tournament, and the most in a single tournament in his career.
Tim Chang also carded a career-best round, shooting a 6-under 66 on Saturday. Chang finished 3-under for the tournament with 11 birdies across all three rounds.
Ramil Saelim rounded out the Ducks' counting scores with an even scorecard on day three. Competing as an individual, Teddy Vigna finished just one stroke above par in his first collegiate tournament with two rounds of 70, going 70-77-70. Oscar Lent finished 5 over for the week, with his lowest round on Friday.
