
Ducks Improve Standings After Second Round In Hawaii

KOHALA COAST, Hawaii – The Oregon men's golf team wrapped up the second round of play at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate on Friday with three Ducks under par in the tournament. Oregon ended the day 15 strokes under par and T13 in the team standings, three spots up from the first-round results.
How It Happened
Senior transfer Casper Nerpin carded Oregon's best round of the day and the lowest round of his career with a 5-under 67. Sitting at 6-under across both rounds.
Nerpin carded his third eagle of the week on hole No. 15, the most by any player in the tournament. Three eagles matches a season-high for Nerpin, who added five birdies, including three consecutive on the second, third and fourth holes, and is vying for a spot in the top-30 individually.
Freshman Sebastian Desoisa also improved on yesterday's round, carding four birdies en-route to a 4-under 68. Desoisa climbed up the leaderboard, reaching the top 50 players. Ramil Saelim matched Desoisa's two-day total of 4-under 140 after shooting an even second round to round out the counting scores for Oregon.
Tim Chang and individual Teddy Vigna stand even on the leaderboard as well at 3-over 147 after two rounds.
