EUGENE, Ore. — The 17th-ranked Oregon volleyball team faces its third-consecutive top-15 opponent when No. 10 Purdue visits Matthew Knight Arena Friday evening. First serve of the Ducks' Green Out and Big Ten home opener is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Oregon carries a 10-2 overall record and 1-1 Big Ten mark into the weekend, and is up six spots in the AVCA rankings over the past two weeks. Purdue (8-3, 1-1) is spending its third week inside the top 10.

Series History vs Purdue
Friday's match will be the seventh meeting between the two programs and just the second in Eugene. Oregon and Purdue have split their two matches as Big Ten opponents, each having won on the other's home floor in five sets. Alanah Clemente and Valentina Vaulet had 25 and 16 kills, respectively, in last season's five-set win in West Lafayette.

Last Time Out
The Ducks picked up their first ranked win of the year with a four-set victory at then-No. 15 Minnesota. Sjakkie Donkers (19K, 15D) and Alanah Clemente (19K, 11D) each had a double-double. Oregon hit .291 against the Golden Gophers and tied a season high with 11 blocks including the match-winning stuff by Clemente and Dalia Virlan.

Killing It
Oregon enters the week leading the Big Ten and ranked eighth in the NCAA with 14.33 kills per set. The Ducks have put down at least 15 kills in 25 of 43 sets played this year including 18 in the closeout, fourth set of last Saturday's win at then-No. 15 Minnesota. The UO trio of Sjakkie Donkers (3.59 k/s), Valentina Vaulet (3.45 k/s) and Alanah Clemente (3.00 k/s) are all averaging three or more kills per set.

B1G Week of Sjakkie
In her first taste of Big Ten play, junior outside hitter Sjakkie Donkers accounted for 5.44 points per set, 4.88 kills per set while hitting .402 and 3.25 digs per set against Wisconsin and Minnesota. She put down a season-high 20 kills (.333) in four set at Wisconsin followed by a 19-kill, 15-dig performance in a four-set win at Minnesota.

With her fifth kill at then-No. 15 Minnesota (Sept. 26), sophomore Alanah Clemente tallied the 500th kill of her career. She finished the match with a season-high 19 kills to go along with 11 digs to complete her second double-double of the season.

Pick 'Em Up, Reese
Sophomore libero Reese Sheppard tied her career high with 20 digs in the Ducks' four-set victory over Minnesota. She also had 20 digs last season against Michigan. Sheppard has double-digit digs in eight matches this year and had a previous season high of 17 digs against San Diego (Sept. 13). Sheppard is averaging 3.23 dig per set entering the second week of conference play.
