Ducks Sitting in Seventh After Monday's Rounds

SAMMAMISH, Wash. – The Oregon men's golf team sits in a tie for fifth place through two rounds of golf at The Tindall. Senior Aiden Krafft and junior Jeffrey Kwak share a place in the top-30, shooting an even 144 over 36 holes.
How It Happened
Krafft bounced back after a tough showing at the Sahalee Players Championship, and shot a 1-under 71 first round. Krafft carded an even first nine, but finished the second round a stroke over par to come out even on the day.
In his season debut for the Ducks, Kwak ended the first round with a 6-over 78 after a pair of double-bogeys on the front nine. He evened his scorecard on the back half of the round, with two birdies and two bogeys. Kwak gained momentum in the second round, opening with a birdie. The Oregon junior carded three more birdies, and ended the round with a 6-under 66 after six consecutive pars and an eagle to conclude play.
Jay Gould-Healy had four bogeys in his first round, finishing two over, but found a groove in the afternoon. The senior shot 1-under 35 on the first nine, and an even back to finish just one stroke over on the day.
Freshman Sebastian Desoisa started his day with three straight pars, and finished the round with five birdies and a 1-under 70. He shot four-over in the second round, finishing at 2-over with one hole to go when play was suspended due to darkness. Kyreece Romero also made his first appearance in the Oregon lineup this season, carding a 3-over 75 in round one and a 1-over 73 in round two.
Competing as an individual for the first time this season, Tim Chang shot seven over on the day, going 75-76 with five birdies between two rounds.
