Friday’s preseason exhibition begins at 6 p.m.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon volleyball team will opens its preseason schedule this Friday, Aug. 8, with the Green-Yellow Scrimmage at Matthew Knight Arena. The scrimmage is free and open to the public with first serve scheduled for 6 p.m.
North entrance doors will open at 5 p.m. Fans are asked to sit in sections 101-105 behind the benches. Following the scrimmage, the Ducks will meet and greet fans on the concourse (section 120) near guest services.
In Wednesday's release of the AVCA coaches' preseason poll, Oregon was receiving votes.
Friday's scrimmage is the first of two preseason dates on the Ducks' calendar. The team will also travel to Corvallis, Ore., on Aug. 23 for an in-state exhibition matchup with Oregon State.
The Ducks' season begins Aug. 29-31 at the EVEN Hotel Bobcat Invite, a three-team round robin hosted by Montana State. Oregon will also play South Dakota and Prairie View A&M that weekend. The team's home opener is slated for Wed., Sept. 3, against Colorado State.
