EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon volleyball head coach Trent Kersten has bolstered the Ducks' roster with the addition of All-Big Ten performer Valentina Vaulet, a rising junior transfer from Michigan. Vaulet was 10th in the NCAA with 63 service aces and was 12th in the Big Ten with 4.16 points per set.
"Valentina is a dynamic athlete who has proven herself as an opposite in the Big Ten, improving her game with each passing season," Kersten said. "She brings an elite arm into our gym that goes along with her international experience and maturity. We're excited to train her on both the right and left sides as she continues to grow during her Oregon career. Valentina's versatility and competitive drive make her an ideal fit for what we're building here."
Vaulet is the seventh newcomer to sign this spring, joining the list already featuring Marlee Arrington (OPP/Glendora, Calif.), Alanah Clemente (OPP/Santa Clarita, Calif.), Jillian McCarty (S/Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) Holley McFadden (MB/Bainbridge Island, Wash.), Sophia Meyers (OH/Seattle, Wash.) and Maria Tabacuks (OH/Cannes, France).
