NAPA, Calif. - The Oregon women's golf team will enter the final round of its regular season in seventh place at the Silverado Showdown after finishing Tuesday's second round with an 8-over 296 at Silverado Country Club and Resort.
The No. 3 Ducks were led by a 1-under 71 from freshman Tong An and an even-par 72 from sophomore Ting-Hsuan Huang. An, Huang and freshman Suvichaya Vinijchaitham are the top Ducks on the leaderboard entering Wednesday's final round, all sitting in a tie for 20th at 2 over.
No. 7 USC currently leads the field at even par, followed by Iowa State (+1) and No. 10 Northwestern (+2). Oregon currently sits at 15-over par for the week.
How it Happened: An was 2-over par through her first eight holes on Tuesday before putting together a terrific finish, shooting 3 under across her final 10 holes. The freshman made three birdies in four holes after making a bogey at No. 8, and then made par on each of her last six holes.
Huang had a similar day, sitting at 2 over through six holes before going 2 under the rest of the way. She was 2 over after a bogey at No. 6 and finished with three pars and two birdies in her last five holes.
Vinijchaitham led the Ducks with a 1-under par 71 on Monday before firing a 3-over 75 in the second round. She was 4 over through 17 holes but finished strong with a birdie on No. 18.
Junior Anika Varma rounded out Oregon's counting scores with a 6-over 78, and sophomore Darae Chung carded a 4-over 76 while competing as an individual.

Notable: Oregon is playing without two of its top players this week in standout sophomores Kiara Romero and Karen Tsuru ... Romero is out of the lineup after tying for seventh overall at the Augusta National Women's Amateur over the weekend, and Tsuru is resting a minor injury ahead of postseason play ... Vinijchaitham has made 29 pars through two rounds, tied for most in the field.
Up Next: The final round of the Silverado Showdown will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Wednesday.
