EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon men's tennis swept Denver 7-0 today in Eugene, with Lenn Luemkemann picking up a ranked win in singles.
The Ducks picked up the doubles points with a 6-2 win from Vlad Breazu and Lachlan Robertson, and a 6-3 win by Clement Lemire and Paris Pouatcha.
With a 1-0 lead, Oregon kept applying the pressure with quick singles wins by Matthew Burton (6-2, 6-2) and Pouatcha (6-4, 6-3). The Ducks needed just one more point to secure the win, and it quickly came from Vlad Breazu on court two, with a 6-4, 6-4 sweep. UO played out the remaining matches, which resultes in three more sweeps from Lemire, Zian Vanderstappen and Lenn Luemkemann.
Luemkemann was the story of the day, as he defeated No. 38 ranked Daniel Sancho Arbizu 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) on court one.
