
Beach Season Opener at Corban Invite

The Ducks open their 2025 season against Portland, Sacramento State and host Corban.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon beach volleyball team opens its 2025 season at the Corban Invitational in Salem, Ore., beginning Friday afternoon. The Ducks' weekend slate features dual play against Portland, Sacramento State and host Corban.

Feb. 21 vs Portland – 12 p.m.
Feb. 21 vs Sacramento State – 2 p.m.
Feb. 22 at Corban – 12 p.m.
Among its returners, Oregon's roster features Landree Coats and Bella Gamache who won 10 and nine matches a season ago, respectively. The two teamed last year and picked up nine wins including a pair of three-set wins over Utah and Arizona in the No. 2 spot during the Pac-12 Championship.
Natasha George was third on the team in 2024 with eight wins. With that total, she moved into the top 10 for career wins and enters the year with 23 victories in her first two seasons. Teammate Ella Tyus is third all-time at Oregon with 33 career wins. During the 2023 season, Tyus and Bea Wetton set the UO single-season record with 20 wins as a pair.
The 2025 roster features 12 newcomers including Eugene native Gwen Fife who started her collegiate career at Utah. This marks the fourth season under head coach Jason Dillard and second with assistant coach Lucy Pennington-Russell who was an AVCA Thirty Under 30 Beach recipient this past October.
Weekend host Corban currently ranks as the No. 2 team in the NAIA. The Warriors were 23-5 last year and advanced to the NAIA semifinals. Portland and Sacramento State were 11-13 and 7-21 last season, respectively.
