
Ducks Take Two in Doubleheader

Eugene, ORE. - The Oregon men's tennis team picked up a pair of wins, defeating Louisiana and Eastern Illinois at the Student Tennis Center on Sunday.
Oregon 4, Louisiana 1
The Ducks gained momentum early in their match with Louisiana, securing the doubles point. The No. 77 ranked duo Matthew Burton and Lenn Luemkemann defeated Samuel Kyjaci and Leonard Tramolay on court one. Cooper Errey and Clement Lemire followed on court three, taking down Vasil Dimitrov and Calin Postea.
Vlad Breazu kickstarted singles action with a straight set win over Dimitrov. Postea gained the sole point for Louisiana, defeating Burton 6-4, 6-2 on court four.
Zian Vanderstappen made an appearance on court six, earning a win against William Jade. Lenn Luemkemann decided the match in Oregon's favor, taking down Oriol Fillat Gimenez in a 6-2, 6-4 win on court one. Both Lemire and Errey's matches went unfinished on courts three and five.

Oregon continued its success in their second match of the day, with a decisive victory over Eastern Illinois. The Duck doubles pairs gave up just three games between three courts. Errey and Luemkemann paired up for a 6-0 win on court three, while the freshman duo of Paris Pouatcha and Lemire dropped just one game in a 6-1 win. Breazu and Lachlan Robertson moved to court one, where they earned a 6-2 win over Zach White and Ludolph Wiggett as the doubles point fell in Oregon's favor once again.
Each of the six singles matches went to the Ducks in straight sets, with no individual allowing more than four games to their Panther opponents. Courts one, two and three finished in order with Breazu, Lemire and Vanderstappen earning respective wins. Robertson earned a victory on court four followed by Errey on court four. Russell Soohoo closed out the match, with his second career singles victory on court six.
The Ducks remain undefeated at home as they turn to the road for three weeks of travel beginning in Stockton, Calif. on March 1.
